The Tarrant County Courthouse in Fort Worth is the Justice and Administration Building ( Courthouse ) of Tarrant County in the US -amerikanischen State Texas .
The building was built between 1893 and 1895 according to plans by Gunn & Curtis in the neo-renaissance style. With their design, the architects leaned heavily on the Texas State Capitol in Austin .
The construction work was carried out by Probst Construction from Chicago . The cost of building the red granite structure was $ 408,840. In 1894 a new president of the court was elected as a protest against the sum, which was seen as a waste.
In 1970, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places with reference number 70000762 .
