Tasi Feto

Tasi Feto or Tasifeto ( Tetum for Frauenmeer ) is the local name for the sea north of the island of Timor .

The term refers to the northwestern Savu Sea and the Banda Sea belonging Ombai Strait and Wetar Strait . The name describes the calm character of the sea compared to the rough Timor Sea in the south of the island, the Tasi Mane , which is called the sea of men.
