Tatiana Ariza Díaz (born February 21, 1991 in Bogotá ) is a Colombian national soccer player.
Career
Ariza started her career with Liga Bogotá and came to the USA with her twin sister Natalia in the summer of 2010 to study . She plays with her sister on the Austin Peay Govs Women Soccer Team and was named Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year in November 2010.
International
The Colombian played the Women's U-17 South American Football Championship and was the best player in qualifying. A short time later, she took part in the U-17 Women's World Cup in New Zealand for her home country Colombia in 2008 and became Most Valuable Player for her country. This was followed in 2010 by her greatest success to date on an international level. She won fourth place with the U-20s from Colombia at the 2010 U-20 Women's World Cup in Germany . In June 2011 she was nominated for the 2011 Women's World Cup in Germany. So far, Ariza has appeared in 12 games for the Colombian national soccer team and scored one goal. It was not used at the World Cup in Germany.
Private
Ariza stopped her young football career at the age of 16 and underwent surgery because of a heart defect. The doctors even banned her from professional sports.
Her twin sister Natalia was in the squad for the U-20 World Cup with her, but was not nominated for the World Cup in Germany.
