Tatiana Alexejewna Mawrina
Tatiana Alekseyevna Mawrina ( Russian Татьяна Алексеевна Маврина ; born December 7 . Jul / 20th December 1900 greg. In Nizhny Novgorod ; † 19th August 1996 in Moscow ) was a Russian-Soviet artist.
Mawrina studied in Moscow at the higher artistic and technical workshops ( Вхутемас , Wchutemas ). Afterwards she was a member of the working group "13". She worked as a painter and book illustrator, and her illustrations of Russian folk tales became famous. During the Second World War, she created a number of Luboks . In 1976 she received the Hans Christian Andersen Prize .
