Tati Sumirah
Tati Sumirah (born February 9, 1952 in Jakarta ; † February 9, 2020 ) was an Indonesian badminton player .
Career
Tati Sumirah won bronze in women's singles at the second Badminton World Cup in 1980 . She celebrated even greater success with the Indonesian women's team. She started in the Uber Cup in 1972 , 1975 and 1981 and reached the final with the team in all three events. In all three cases, the final opponent was Japan. In 1972 and 1981 Indonesia was defeated by the Japanese, but in 1975 the team from Southeast Asia won the world title.
Trivia
Different sources use different spellings of their name. The spellings Taty or Soemirah are just as common as Tati and Sumirah.
