The Taylor Point is a rocky headland on the east coast of King George Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It forms the northern limit of Destruction Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on September 23, 1960. It is named after Captain Daniel Taylor, who operated with the sealer Caroline from Hobart between 1821 and 1822 in the waters around the South Shetland Islands.
