Team 6

The Team 6 (also Special Team 6 ) is a special unit of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo to fight crime in Kosovo . It was founded in 1999 and is based in Pristina .

The Team 6 is composed of members of special forces verschiedenster countries. Everyone who wants to be included has to pass a shooting test and a run of 2 kilometers with full equipment. An interview with a team leader and a member is also planned.

Organizationally, the Special Team Six consists of a commander who can be represented by two team leaders. A total of 22 people belong to the unit, of which 10-14 people are on duty. In addition, one person is provided for technical matters, who is the only person who does not have to serve in a special unit.

The mission profile includes hostage rescue, arrest of armed people or people who are related to the drug environment, personal protection and escorts. In addition, cooperation with the Kosovar police is planned.
