Team Wire is a German instant messaging - service in 2010, founded by Tobias Stepan Group Time GmbH from Munich .

The messenger for use on smartphones , tablets and PCs for the operating systems Android , iOS from 8.0 , Windows, macOS and Linux . This can be used via an Android or iOS app as well as a web client and a desktop client. The target group for the secure messenger are authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS), the military, healthcare organizations and companies in regulated industries (e.g. the energy sector and financial companies). For example, the Barmer Ersatzkasse and the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe use Teamwire. 2015 winner of the IT Innovation Award 2015 in the Communication category of the Initiative Mittelstand.

Police messenger in Bavaria

The Bavarian Police have been using an internal messenger service with enterprise application integration since May 2017 . To this end, by the end of 2017, all Bavarian police associations had initially been equipped with a total of 2,800 smartphones (iPhone). Every police patrol has been equipped with the police messenger since 2018 . Better coordination of operations is expected through the direct exchange of text messages, photos, videos and locations. The nationwide first pilot test started at the police headquarters in Middle Franconia . The Messenger Teamwire is a product from Grouptime and is provided by Vodafone with the backend infrastructure.
