Tebbs Lloyd Johnson
Tebbs Lloyd Johnson (actually Terence Lloyd Johnson ; born April 7, 1900 in Melton Mowbray , † December 26, 1984 in Coventry ) was a British walker .
In 1927, 1931 and 1934 he was British champion in 20 miles , in 1931, 1934 and 1949 in 50 km walking .
Over the 50 km distance, he finished 17th at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. Twelve years later he won the bronze medal at the 1948 Olympic Games in London. At 48 years and 115 days, he is the oldest athlete to date to have stood on the podium in an athletics competition at the Olympic Games.
