Techwitz , formerly also Techebuditz , Techebodiz and Techwicz , is a district of Tröglitz, which in turn has been part of the Elsteraue municipality in the Burgenland district of Saxony-Anhalt since 2003 .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document from the Bosau monastery on November 9, 1121 . Techwitz was a direct administrative village in the Saxon office Zeitz, which existed until 1815 . It was located in the Naumburg bishopric and in 1816 came to the Zeitz district of the Merseburg administrative district of the Prussian province of Saxony . In the place there was a manor, after which the resident noble family von Techwitz named themselves. Techwitz was parish in Burtschütz.
