TeeBee (born May 19, 1976 as Torgeir Byrknes ) is a Norwegian drum and bass producer and DJ from Bergen . TeeBee was one of the first foreign producers to make a name for itself in the jungle and drum and bass scene that had developed in England and Great Britain .

Career

From 1996 he first published on the English labels "A-Level" and "Rugged Vinyl". After he and his partner K aka Polar (Kjetil Dale Sagstad) switched to "Audio Couture", a subsidiary of Moving Shadow , one of the oldest and most renowned English drum and bass labels (label boss Rob Playford ), they started the release Their joint debut CD "Black Science" (1999, Beatservice) is on the way to becoming a fixture on the drum and bass market. This was followed by releases from TeeBee on some of the most famous drum and bass labels such as "Moving Shadow" and "Certificate 18", on which he presented his first solo album "Black Science Labs" in 2000. The album received very positive reviews and is now seen as a milestone in the drum and bass genre. In the same year, together with his partner K, he founded the label "Subtitles", on which to this day, in addition to TeeBee and K, other newcomers such as Angelzero, Illformants, Pacific and the "Future Prophecies", also from Norway, as well as renowned producers such as Publish Abstract, Cause 4 Concern and Zero Tolerance.

After his further album, TeeBee released "Through The Eyes Of A Scorpion" (2001, Certificate 18) on other labels: in addition to Photek's "Photek Productions", among others on the most famous drum and bass label Metalheadz (label boss Goldie ). In 2004 his long awaited third album "The Legacy" was released on his own Subtitles label.

In 2012, TeeBee and Calyx signed a record deal with Andy C's RAM Records , which was followed by the release of the album All or Nothing .
