Metalheadz is a style-defining British drum and bass label, which was founded in 1994 by DJs Kemistry & Storm and Goldie . A variety of well-known drum and bass acts were released on it, including Photek , Dillinja , Adam F , Grooverider , Doc Scott , Rufige Kru , Digital , Peshay , Alex Reece , Wax Doctor , Source Direct , J Majik , Andy C , Lemon D , Hidden Agenda , Ed Rush and Optical . The compilation Platinum Breakz , which in 1996 put numerous tracks by the artists on a triple album , attracted particular attention . The label also hosted the Metalheadz Sunday Session party series in London's Blue Note Club , which helped make the music and label founder Goldie known in the mainstream of the 1990s.
