Triple album

A triple album is a music album that - in contrast to a double album - consists of three records or three CDs . As a rule, there are two reasons for a band or an artist to release a triple album; either the music material intended for publication is too extensive to fit on the capacity of only one or two sound carriers, or the artists have a recognizable musical theme (concept) and therefore publish a concept album as a triple album .
