Noisia (consisting of Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger) is a Dutch music producer trio from Groningen . It gained its first notoriety primarily through its drum and bass releases. It reached a wider audience by remixing well-known artists such as Robbie Williams , Katy Perry , Pendulum , Skrillex , Moby , The Prodigy , Deadmau5 and Labrinth and collaborating as producers under the name Nightwatch with Korn , Hadouken! and Kraantje Pappie .

Stylistically, the trio moves in a very large field, which ranges from neurofunk - drum and bass , house , breaks , hip-hop and electro-pop to video game music .

Older aliases of the trio are Drifter and Hustle Athletics . Also worth mentioning are their hip-hop group De Huilende Rappers and the I Am Legion project with the Foreign Beggars . Martijn van Sonderen founded the Duo Zonderling with Jaap de Vries, one of the managers at Noisia .

Career

The trio had their first release in 2003 on the Nerve Recordings label . Noisia have also released on the labels Subtitles , Renegade Hardware and Moving Shadow . In 2005 the band started their own label Vision Recordings , followed a year later by the Label Division , which now serves as a platform for their house and break productions. In June 2008 they released the mix CD FabricLive.40 , which also contained many of their own songs, but still featured a wide range of different genres. In February 2009 her remix of The Prodigy's single Omen was released.

In 2010 Noisia released their first studio album under the name Split The Atom . The first single was Machine Gun with accompanying remixes by Spor , 16 Bit and Amon Tobin on their label Division. In 2012, Split the Atom was re-released as an extended Special Edition by Deadmau5 on the music label Mau5trap Recordings .

Noisia also produced soundtracks for the video games Wipeout , MotorStorm: Apocalypse, DmC: Devil May Cry and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive .

In 2016 Noisia released their second studio album Outer Edges with the first single releases Anomaly and Collider . At the same time, they started an audiovisual show tour of the same name.

On September 17, 2019, Noisia announced the dissolution on the Internet at the end of 2020.
