Momoiro Clover Z ( Japanese も も い ろ ク ロ ー バ ー Z , Momoiro Kurōbā Zetto , German "Pink-colored clover Z"), or Momoclo for short ( も も ク ロ , Momokuro ), is a Japanese girls' group .
Momoiro Clover (back then without the “Z” suffix) was founded in 2008 by 3B Junior, a project by the talent agency Stardust Promotion . The group currently consists of four girls and is under contract with King Records ' label Evil Line Records .
history
Momoiro Clover Z is an idol pop group managed by the Stardust Promotion agency. The group was founded in spring 2008 under the name Momoiro Clover. In August 2009 the first indie single Momoiro Punch was released and entered the Oricon charts at number 23 .
As in April 2011 Akari Hayami left the group and these now consisted of five girls, she was in Momoiro Clover Z renamed.
In November 2012, the 9th single Saraba, Itoshiki Kanashimitachi yo was released, which entered the Japanese Billboard singles chart with first place, as well as number 2 on the Oricon charts. The second studio album 5th Dimension from April 2013 again reached first place on the Oricon album charts. In April 2014 they switched from King Records label StarChild to his newly founded label Evil Line Records .
Momoka Ariyasu, who joined the group in 2009, left the group in early 2018.
