Bad Company UK (including Bad Company , not to be confused with the rock band Bad Company ) is a British drum-and-bass - producers quartet from London . The members Dan Stein ( DJ Fresh ), Darren White, Jason Maldini and Michael Wojcicki first gained notoriety in the drum and bass scene , primarily through the song The Nine .

history

Maldini initially published with White as Future Forces . Dan Stein as Absolute Zero and together with Wojcicky as Fresh & Vegas on music labels such as Renegade Hardware or Metro Recordings.

In 1998 they formed Bad Company and released The Nine , The Pulse and their first album Inside the Machine in 1999 . DJ Fabio, Grooverider , Andy C and Goldie spoke out in favor of those releases, which quickly made Bad Company better known.

After numerous other publications, the members finally went their separate ways again in 2003. Dan Stein hit the UK charts as DJ Fresh . Darren White published numerous solo projects as dBridge and founded the music label Exit Records . Jason Maldini and Michael Wojcicki released as Maldini & Vegas , together with Uman as Blokhe4d and founded the label Bad Taste Recordings . Maldini and Vegas also kept the Bad Company name as Bad Company UK from now on .

In 2008, The Nine was voted the best drum and bass single of all time by readers of Kmag (formerly Knowledge Magazine).

In 2013 White, Maldini and Wojcicki got together again for a joint DJ set for the 10th anniversary of Exit Records . In early 2014 the songs The Nine , Dogfight and The Bridge were digitally mastered and republished. The Fear EP was re-released on record in mid-2014 .

After Dan Stein had indicated in 2014 that he was thinking of reuniting the group, Bad Company UK announced the reunion in February 2016. Shortly afterwards, the first new single, Equilibrium , was released as a free download.
