DJ Fresh
DJ Fresh (* 11. April 1977 , actually Daniel Stein ) is a British Dubstep - and drum-and-bass - musicians .
Career
As a teenager, Daniel Stein aka DJ Fresh discovered rave music for himself and acquired DJ equipment. As a student, he put on night programs on pirate stations in his area. In the late 1990s he became a member of the Bad Company UK drum and bass quartet . They founded the label BC Recordings and also started the well-known scene website Dogs on Acid . After the team split up in 2003, he had his first solo hit with Dalicks / Temple of Doom . He released other singles and worked as a remixer for artists such as the Pet Shop Boys and Apollo 440 . With Breakbeat Punk he also founded his own label. He later joined forces with Adam F to form the Breakbeat Kaos label . The common single When the Sun Goes Down also hit the charts in 2004.
DJ Fresh released his first own album in 2006 under the title Escape from Planet Monday . Kryptonite followed four years later, including his piece Gold Dust in a vocal version with the singer Ce'Cile . This was the first time he entered the top 40 of the UK charts . He was also awarded a gold record for this.
In 2011, together with singer Sian Evans, the single Louder was created , which was used in a commercial for the energy drink Lucozade Lite . Louder went straight to number 1 on the UK charts and became his first number one hit in the UK, even going platinum. A few months later he recorded the single Hot Right Now with Rita Ora . It became his second number one hit and was not only successful in England but also in Europe and Australia. She also started Rita Ora's successful solo career. In 2013 she was nominated for a Brit Award for British Single of the Year. With The Power together with Dizzee Rascal he had another top 10 hit. All three songs were also included in the album Nextlevelism , which was released in autumn 2012 and brought DJ Fresh to the album charts for the first time.
In the following years there were other top 5 hits in the UK such as Earthquake with Diplo , Dibby Dibby Sound with Jay Fay and Ms. Dynamite and Gravity with Ella Eyre . All three songs were also awarded silver and gold respectively. How Love Begins with High Contrast and Dizzee Rascal was his 20th single in the UK charts in early 2016.
