Jay Fay (born July 1993 ), real name Joshua Fagin, is an American DJ. His greatest success in 2014 was the re-recording of his song Dibby Dibby with DJ Fresh .

Career

Joshua Fagin is from St. Louis and began learning the drums before he was 10 years old. He started mixing songs when he was 15 and DJed while attending Clayton High School in his hometown. He gained notoriety in 2011 with the release of an EP, which was mentioned in the much-noticed blog of US DJ Diplo . The attention helped him to appear in the opening act of musicians like Drake , Tyga and Steve Aoki . After school, he went to the University of Missouri at Columbia to study journalism . As a DJ he made a name for himself from St. Louis to Columbia and expanded his radius to Detroit .

Although he uses a variety of genres in his performances, Moombahton was one of his favorite styles. In 2012 he released a Moombahton trilogy consisting of three EPs. In January 2013 his song Dibby Dibby appeared on the compilation Moombahton Forever . The British musician DJ Fresh took on the piece and underlayed it with Brazilian beats. He also got Ms. Dynamite for a vocal part. In the fall, the new version Dibby Dibby Sound was played for the first time on Zane Low on BBC Radio 1 and when the song was released as a single in early February 2014, it rose to number 3 in the UK charts . For DJ Fresh, who had previously had two number one hits, it was the third biggest success of his career.
