from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Telemark World Cup in Hintertux has been part of the Telemark World Cup since the 2013/14 season . It is organized by the International Ski Association (FIS) and the Zillertaler Gletscherbahn GmbH & CO KG as well as the Tux-Finkenberg Tourist Association. The races will be held on the section of slope no. 3, organized by the WSV Hippach association.

history

The idea of organizing a World Cup in Hintertux came from several sides and required many requirements. The first World Cup was held in Hintertux in the 2013/14 season. Due to the weather, the program was changed, so on November 30, 2013, instead of the parallel sprint, the classic sprint was held, and the parallel sprint was held a day later. At the 2015/16 World Cup, a classic sprint was held instead of a parallel sprint on Sunday, November 29, 2015 due to poor weather forecasts.
