Temagami [ təˈnɑgɛmi ] is a municipality in the northeast of the Canadian province of Ontario in the Nipissing District . Temagami is located on Lake Temagami and has 893 inhabitants (as of 2001) on an area of 1906 km².
history
Temagami was founded by Daniel O'Connor . Around 1900 gold , silver and nickel were discovered in Temagami . Daniel O'Connor built the Ronnoco Hotel in 1903, but it burned down in 1973.
