Temple Synagogue in Krakow

The Tempel Synagogue is a synagogue in the Kazimierz district of the Polish city ​​of Krakow . The building was built in the Moorish style according to plans by Ignacy Hercok from 1860 to 1862 along Miodowa Street. The building is a listed building.

The Leopoldstadt Temple in Vienna served as a model , because Krakow was part of Austria-Hungary at the time . The Leopoldstadt Temple also served as a model for numerous other European synagogues in the oriental style , such as the Zagreb Synagogue , the Spanish Synagogue in Prague and the Choral Temple in Bucharest .
