Tempest was a British jazz rock band .

history

Jon Hiseman , drummer for Colosseum , formed the band in 1972. The band started with singer Paul Williams (formerly John Mayall's Bluesmakers and Juicy Lucy ), Mark Clarke (formerly Colosseum and Uriah Heep ) and Allan Holdsworth . After the release of the debut album "Tempest" Williams left the band, replaced by Ollie Halsall, who had already worked with Brian Eno . The second album "Living in Fear" was released in 1974. In 1975 the band broke up and Hiseman founded Colosseum II .

In 2005 "Living in Fear: The Anthology" was published as a review of the band's work.
