The Templeton College was a constituent college of the University of Oxford in England . It was an all-graduate college that focused more on attracting business students .

The college was founded in 1965 as the Oxford Center for Management Studies . Then it was renamed Templeton College in 1985 as a result of a donation made by Sir John Templeton in honor of his parents, Harvey Maxwell and Vella Handly Templeton . Originally a Society of Entitlement within the university, Templeton College began accepting students in 1984. It was not until a Royal Charter in 1995 that it became a constituent college of the University of Oxford. In November 2005, the college transferred its executive education role to Saïd Business School .

On February 26, 2007, two bombs were found at Templeton College. It is believed that animal rights activists were responsible.

On July 3, 2007 it was announced that the Green College with the Templeton College should be merged on October 1, 2008 to the Green Templeton College with the old location of the Green College. The former site of the college in Egrove Park in Kennington ( Oxfordshire ) in the south of Oxford is used by the Saïd Business School as an Executive Education Center .
