Tenga Hyôbaku ( Japanese 天河 氷瀑 'Tenga Icefall' ) is a glacial break in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located in the southern part of the Belgica Mountains .
Japanese scientists took aerial photographs in 1976 , carried out on-site measurements from 1979 to 1980 and gave the glacier break its name in 1981. It is named after the predominant rock amazonite , which is translated from Japanese as Tenga-isi .
