Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche

Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche ( Tib . : bstan 'dzin dbang rgyal rin po che ; * 1961 ) is the author of works on Dzogchen , yoga of dreams and lucid dreams . He is the founder and director of the Ligmincha Institute and several centers called Chamma Ling , which are dedicated to the study and practice of the Bon tradition.

biography

Tenzin Wangyal was born in Amritsar , India shortly after his parents fled the Chinese invasion of Tibet . His father was a Lama from the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism and his mother was a practitioner of the Bon tradition. After the death of his father, his mother remarried a lama of the Bon tradition. Tenzin Wangyal attended a Christian school until the age of 10 , then his parents let him enter the Bön Monastery Menri à Dolanji (India), where he was ordained a monk.

He received lessons from both Bon and masters of Buddhism . His main teachers were Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche and Lopon Sangye Tenzin Rinpoche. Lopon Sangye Tenzin Rinpoche saw in him the rebirth of Khyung Tul Rinpoche , a renowned meditator and scholar.

At the age of 16, Tenzin Wangyal entered the monastic dialectical school. There he began his career as a teacher. At the age of 19 he became the headmaster of the school and held this position for four years.

In 1986 he received the degree of Geshe . At the same time he was employed at the library of the Tibetan archives and (master) works in Dharamsala and was selected by the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso to represent the Bön school in the delegates' assembly of the Tibetan government in exile .

In 1989 Tenzin Wangyal went to Merigar , Italy, at the invitation of the Chögyel Namkhai Norbu community . He has lived in the United States since 1991. He holds numerous courses in Europe and America.
