Wilhelm Behre

Wilhelm Behre (born February 1, 1923 in Lehrte ; † December 3, 2007 there ) was a German homeland researcher .

Wilhelm Behre was the church leader of the Evangelical Lutheran Matthew Congregation for 26 years. He published six books on the city's history. These contain many historical images of the city. For his work as a local researcher for the city of Lehrte, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on May 17, 2002 .
