Teodora Kolarova

Teodora Kolarowa ( Bulgarian Теодора Коларова ; born May 29, 1981 ) is a Bulgarian athlete . She reached the final run of the 2006 European Championships over 800 meters .

Kolarowa was eliminated from the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki. Even at the indoor world championships in 2006 she did not reach the final. Kolarowa had her biggest appearance at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg . The Bulgarian improved from race to race from the preliminary to the final run. In the final, she then scratched the 2-minute mark, but failed very narrowly. She came to a time of exactly 2:00, which meant a new personal best for her. She finished sixth in the double victory of the Russians Olga Kotljarowa (1: 57.38 min) and Svetlana Kljuka .

In October 2007 it was announced by the Bulgarian Athletics Federation BFLA that a doping test had been positive for Kolarowa. During an unannounced exercise test taken from her in Sofia on June 26th, the drug testosterone was discovered in her urine. Both A and B samples were positive. Kolarowa was banned for two years.
