Teodora Matejko
Teodora Matejko, born Giebułtowska (* 1846 - † August 25, 1896 in Kraków ) was the wife of the Polish painter Jan Matejko and daughter of Antoni Giebułtowski and Paulina Sikorska.
On November 21, 1864 she married the Polish painter Jan Matejko. After the marriage, she moved to Kraków, where she had given birth to five children, Tadeusz, Helena , Beata, Jerzy and Regina, of whom the youngest daughter died shortly after birth. Soon after marriage, Matejkowa developed diabetes and, in later years, mental disorders . She was often the model for her husband for paintings, mostly as Bona Sforza or Barbara Radziwiłł .
