Terbium gallium garnet , abbreviated TGG , is a crystalline material with a high Verdet constant in the range of visible light and in the near infrared. This makes it particularly suitable for the manufacture of Faraday isolators .

The chemical composition of TGG is Tb 3 Ga 5 O 12 . TGG crystals are produced by pulling them from the melt. The Czochralski method is usually used .
