Teresa Sarti Strada (born March 28, 1946 in Sesto San Giovanni , † September 1, 2009 in Milan ) was an Italian peace activist.

Together with her husband Gino Strada , she was a co-founder and first chairwoman of the emergency aid organization . During its 15-year presidency, Emergency has carried out numerous humanitarian aid projects in the medical field. (Realization and operation of many hospitals, including a highly specialized heart surgery center in Sudan ). Teresa Sarti died in Milan on September 1, 2009 of a tumor disease. Her daughter Cecilia Strada has been the first chairwoman of Emergency since then.
