The Terny Crater (also Ternovka ; Ukrainian Тернівський кратер / Terniwskyj krater ) is a buried impact crater in Ukraine .
It is located in the west of Dnepropetrovsk Oblast in the north of the urban area of Kryvyi Rih . The diameter of the crater is 11 km. The impact occurred during the Permian about 280 ± 10 million years ago.
The crater is named after the former town of Terny ( Терни ) and today's Stadtrajon Terny of the city of Krywyj Rih.
