The TerraZoo Sontra was founded by Uwe Ringelhan at the beginning of 2008 as a reptile sanctuary in Hessen. The reptile zoo opened in October 2010. Visitors can observe the animals there and find out more about them. The zoo has been operating under its current name since the beginning of 2011. The TerraZoo Sontra shows over 60 different species of reptiles, amphibians and insects in the public area. There are also exotic mammals such as B. Find kangaroos.
The owner RAS-Zoo non-profit GmbH includes the two TerraZoos Sontra and Rheinberg as well as the reptile sanctuary in Hessen and NRW.
