The Tallaganda National Park is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales , about 45 km southeast of Canberra .

The national park on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range consists of two unconnected parts. The smaller, northern part at Hoskinstown is closer to Canberra. The larger southern part at Jingera lies between the Yanununbeyan National Park in the northwest and the Gourock National Park in the south, to which it is directly connected. Eucalyptus mountain forest can be found in both parts , especially the species Stringybark , Scribbly Gum , Brown Barrel and Peppermint , and in the higher elevations also snow eucalyptus . Many endangered species of animals can be found in these forests, such as the bag-marten , the yellow-bellied glider and the giant owl ( Ninox strictua ).

There are no tourist facilities in the park and the paths can only be used with four-wheel drive vehicles. But the park is a popular hiking and bird watching area.
