The Cattai National Park is a national park in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales , 45 kilometers northwest of Sydney . This is to that piece of land that the medical assistant of the First Fleet , Thomas Arndell was allocated. Arndell's farmhouse from 1821 can still be viewed in the park today. The park is bordered by the Hawkesbury River and its tributary, Cattai Creek , and also has picnic areas.
