The Timbarra National Park is a national park in north-eastern Australian state of New South Wales , 28 km east of Tenterfield and 98 kilometers west of Lismore .

In the park between the Timbarra River in the south and the Cataract River in the north there are different vegetation communities. In the north-east there is a dry hardwood forest , while the south-west is mostly covered by light eucalyptus forest with grass undergrowth. Inside the park there are many places with subtropical rainforest and humid hardwood forest , especially along the watercourses.
