Leah Lynn Gabriela Fortune (born December 13, 1990 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian - American soccer player .
Life
Leah was born in São Paulo but grew up in Wayne, Illinois , where her parents worked as missionaries .
Career
Leah began her career at the age of four in the Brasilia LFC youth team and was promoted to the pro team in 2005. After playing for Basilia LFC for two years, she moved to Wheaton Academy in 2006, where Leah was deputy captain. From January 2008, she played alongside her college degree for the Eclipse team. In 2009 she left the Eclipse team and signed with Chicago Liverpool FC. In spring 2010 she began her studies at the University of Texas at Austin and played for the Longhorns on the women's soccer team.
International career
Leah represented her country at the 2008 U-20 Women's World Cup in Chile and at the 2010 U-20 Women's World Cup in Germany . She has not yet made it to an international match as she has not yet decided whether she will play for Brazil or the United States .
Private
Her father, Hudson, is American but grew up in Brazil. After returning to the United States, he played as a soccer player at Indiana University and became a captain. He later played as a professional footballer for Pittsburgh Spirit and Indianapolis Daredevils.
