The Maria National Park is a national park in north-eastern Australian state of New South Wales , 341 km north-east of Sydney , 5 km south-east of Kempsey .
The park is located west of the Pacific Highway between Kumbatine National Park in the west and Hat Head National Park in the east. The national park was formerly called Maria State Forest and, with its eucalyptus forests, represents an important transition for wildlife between the two aforementioned national parks. Eleven endangered plant species and nine endangered animal species were found in the park. One finds z. B. Grass Trees and Scribbly Gum Eucalyptus. Maria River , Stumpy Creek, and Reedy Creek traverse the park.
The Maria River may be navigated with non-motorized boats. You can also explore the national park on horseback. There is no public access road for cars.
