The Bendick Murrell National Park (English: Bendick Murrell National Park ) is a national park in New South Wales , Australia . It's not quite 30 kilometers northeast of Young and a little more than 30 kilometers southwest of Cowra on the foothills of the Great Dividing Range . The small settlement of the same name, Bendick Murell, is located a few kilometers south of the national park.
The national park is around 17.84 km². It emerged from the Bendick Murrell State Forest , which was rededicated on January 1, 2011 to a national park.
Bendick Murrell National Park is significant because it connects grassy forests in south and west New South Wales as a corridor.
In the park birds were observed over 80, including warts Honigfresser , further (Anthochaera phrygia), which is considered at risk to be particularly glossy black cockatoo ( Calyptorhynchus lathami ), Grant Honigfresser ( Grantiella picta ), turquoise parrot ( Neophema pulchella ), Brown Treecreeper ( Climacteris Picumnus or victoriae ), Diamantamadine ( Stagonopleura guttata ), Scharlachschnäpper ( Petroica boodang ) Flammenbrustschnäpper ( Petroica phoenicea ) and basic Skitterer ( Chthonicola sagittata ).
