The Coolah Tops National Park is a national park in the center of the Australian state of New South Wales , 258 kilometers northwest of Sydney and 30 kilometers east of Coolah in the Liverpool Range . It was established on July 5, 1996 and is administered by the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service . It is classified in Category II by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources .
In the park, waterfalls can be seen falling from the plateau. There are huge grass trees and light forests with islands of snow eucalyptus . Glide pouches , wallabies , eagles and owls make up the fauna.
Leisure activities include camping and hiking. The Liverpool Plains can be seen from the peaks of the range of hills .
