The Coorabakh National Park is a national park in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales , 272 kilometers northeast of Sydney near the small town of Hannam Vale .
Three volcanic cones named Big Nellie (31 ° 42 '2' 'South; 152 ° 31' 20 '' East), Flat Nellie (31 ° 42 '39' 'South; 152 ° 30' 37 '' East) and Little Nellie (31 ° 41 '40' 'South; 152 ° 30' 3 '' East) dominate the park.
The park is of high eucalyptus trees , and undergrowth at the exposed Lansdowne - stage covered, while sub-tropical rain and damp forest occurs in sheltered locations. Endangered species in the park are the Fleckschwanz- Quoll , a species of owl ( Powerful Owl ) and the Stuttering Frog .
Newbys Cave , a cave, can be reached by following Newbys Creek from the parking lot. Newby's Lookout has a picnic area and overlooks the Manning River valley . Flat Rock Lookout (31 ° 41 '17' 'South; 152 ° 30' 23 '' East) overlooks the upper Lansdowne Valley and the Comboyne Plateau. At the picnic area at Starrs Creek you will find a platform for viewing the rainforest.
Adjacent to the national park is the Lansdowne State Forest .
