The Benambra National Park is a national park in the south of the Australian state of New South Wales , about 40 kilometers north of Albury and 20 kilometers southwest of Holbrook .

The national park is located in the Riverina region between Hume Highway and Olympic Highway . It is known for its large population of sparse forests of Eucalyptus polyanthemos . These forests are home to many endangered species, e. B. the beautiful parakeet , the swallow parakeet and the mean flying squirrel bucket ( Petaurus norfolcensis ).
