The Bundjalung National Park is a national park in north-eastern Australian state of New South Wales , 554 kilometers north of Sydney and 60 kilometers northeast of Grafton . A piece of the coastal plain with heathland and beaches between the towns of Iluka in the south and Evans Head in the north is protected there .

In the park, there are formations of Coffee Rock on the beaches at the north end.

Along the coast of the Iluka peninsula there are a series of closely staggered capes, between which small, crescent-shaped, white sandy beaches have emerged. At each cape there is a rock platform formed by the waves with rock pools in which small sea creatures can be found.

The park was named after the Bundjalung Aboriginal tribe who originally inhabited this land.

In terms of facilities, there is a campsite at Black Rocks (a natural campsite with few facilities near Ten Mile Beach ) and another at Woody Head (better equipped, with hot showers, changing rooms, and a kiosk).

There are six picnic spots in the park: Gummi Garra at Evans Head and Shark Bay, Old Ferry Crossing, Back Beach, Frazers Reef and Iluka Bluff on the Iluka Peninsula.

In the northeast part of the park there is a restricted zone that the RAAF uses as a bomb dropping point. This bombing site has been in use as a training ground for target practice since World War II . But its existence also has advantages for the park: It has been relatively untouched by humans for decades.
