The Marrangaroo National Park is a national park in eastern Australian state of New South Wales , 115 kilometers west of Sydney , 7 km west of Lithgow .

The park is west of the Blue Mountains National Park on the Coxs River and Marrangaroo Creek . On the Coxs River between Wallerawang Reservoir and Lake Lyell you can find water holes under shady trees. The highest peaks of the mountainous park reach 1,200 m. Snow eucalyptus grows on them . The forests provide habitat for the Purple-Copperwing -Schmetterling while in watercourses platypus stop.

Swimming and canoeing on the Coxs River and Lake Lyall are popular pastimes. But you can also discover the park by mountain bike. The Mount Walker offers a beautiful panoramic view of the upper reaches of the Coxs River and the area around Lithgow.
