The Wallerawang Reservoir is a reservoir northwest of Lithgow in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales on the eastern slopes of the Great Dividing Range . The lake is fed by the Coxs River and is used to generate energy for the greater Sydney area by Delta Electricity .

The small town of Wallerawang is about two kilometers from the western shore of the lake.

The south shore of the lake is accessible via the Great Western Highway from Lithgow to Bathurst . In the northeast, the Castlereagh Highway runs from Marrangaroo to Capertee .
