The Towarri National Park is a national park in eastern Australian state of New South Wales , 230 kilometers north of Sydney and 45 km north of Muswellbrook .

The park comprises six separate areas on the southeast slopes of the Liverpool Range , part of the Great Dividing Range . The largest of these is around Mount Tinagroo . The terrain consists of sandstone cliffs on which rainforest , snow eucalyptus and grass trees grow.

Wild, steep terrain without signposted paths opens up to hikers and the peaks offer views that are well worth seeing. The streets in the park are all unpaved.
