The Butterleaf National Park is a national park in north-eastern Australian state of New South Wales , 491 km north of Sydney and 37 km north-east of Glen Innes .
The park is on the ridge of the Great Dividing Range . There are eucalyptus - primary forests ( Ribbon Gum and measuring Mate ), swamps and heaths. These landscapes offer habitats for many rare animals, such as As for the Gelbbauch- and Grand Gleitbeutler , the Powerful Owl ( owl ), the Wombat and the spotted Quoll . The Deepwater River rises north of the park . Washpool National Park is to the east of Butterleaf National Park .
