A reptile is a zoo that specializes in, presents and breeds reptiles . Invertebrates such as scorpions and spiders are often also kept. In addition, insects are often bred for feed purposes .

One goal of a reptile is often to reduce ignorance and fears in contact with snakes, spiders, etc. The breeding station is also often open to the public.
