The terra sports GmbH is the operator of a Germany-wide EMS studio chain based in Gelsenkirchen North Rhine-Westphalia . The company with 200 employees operates 50 studios in which, according to the company, a total of 8,000 members train. terra sports is thus the largest EMS branch system in the world.
history
The first terra sports studio was opened in July 2014 by the shareholders Siegbert Wortmann (owner of Wortmann AG ), Sven Wortmann and Sven Janus in Dortmund . Sven Wortmann and Sven Janus also act as managing directors. The official business slogan of terra sports is "Your Personal Training".
The opening of the studios number 2 to 4 in Essen , Düsseldorf and another branch in Dortmund followed in the same year.
Locations
As of June 2019, terra sports GmbH operates 50 studios in Germany. Most of the studios are in Düsseldorf and Dortmund (four each), followed by Essen (three). In addition to the head office in Gelsenkirchen, there are other offices in Essen.
Services
terra sports offers personal training supported by electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), which is used to build strength and muscle as well as improve health. Every studio has an in-body body analysis scale, which, according to the manufacturer, measures the body exactly and can differentiate between muscles, body fat, body water and their distribution. With EMS training, every member is continuously supported by a trained personal trainer who works out, guides and corrects the explanations and training performance. In addition, the personal trainer also acts as a nutritionist.
