Tessa Polder (born October 10, 1997 in Capelle aan den IJssel ) is a Dutch volleyball player . The middle blocker became German cup winner and runner-up in 2019 with Schwerin before playing for Aachen again. In the 2020/21 season she will play in France for ASPTT Mulhouse .

Career

Polder was trained by the Talent Team Papendal . In 2014 she took part in the U19 World Cup in Greece with the Dutch juniors. Until 2016, the middle blocker played for the Dutch first division club Sliedrecht Sport . She stood in the squad of the senior team for the Volleyball World Grand Prix 2016 . Polder was then signed by the German Bundesliga club Ladies in Black Aachen . With the club she reached the quarter-finals in the Bundesliga playoffs and in the DVV Cup 2016/17 in the 2016/17 season . The following year she reached the playoff semifinals . She then moved to the German champions SSC Palmberg Schwerin . With Schwerin she won the DVV Cup and became German runner-up . In 2019 she returned to Aachen.In the 2019/20 season, she made it to the quarterfinals of the DVV Cup and the European Challenge Cup with Aachen . When the Bundesliga season was canceled shortly before the playoffs, the Ladies in Black were in seventh place in the table. In the 2020/21 season she plays for the French club ASPTT Mulhouse .
