The Tethys Nunatakker are a group of around five 450  m high Nunatakkern in the southeast of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . They rise 3 km northeast of the Stephenson Nunatak .

The first sighting goes back to the two US polar explorers Finn Ronne and Carl R. Eklund (1909–1962) during their dog sledding excursion through George VI Sound between 1940 and 1941 . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys in 1949. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1955 based on the naming of the neighboring Saturn Glacier after the Saturn moon Tethys .
